It is a first-person shooter game released for the PC by the id Software. The game was ported to Game boy advance by Activision in 2002. It is one of the earliest first-person shooter games, and many consider it the best in its genre. The GBA version is somewhat similar to the PC version, with some additional features. The players have to play 32 levels, kill many enemies, and collect different weapons and card keys. This game's main emphasis is on combat, as there are more than fifteen enemy creatures available on every level. Weapons are abundant for the player to choose from, such as pistols, rocket launchers, and chain guns. One of Doom II's excellent features is its multiplayer support. Every level has deathmatch mode, in which four players can play together. Apart from that, a two-player co-op mode allows the players to play with a friend simultaneously. 

Game Plot

The player plays the role of a Doom Marine. After returning from a mission, stopping an invasion on Mars, he finds out that the earth has been invaded. All the big cities are in ruins, and the leader now plans to transport the remaining survivors in a spacecraft. The starport is from where the ship's take-off. But there is a powerful force all around it, cast by the demons. All the remaining soldiers try very hard to break through the power, but they all get decimated, and only the protagonists live. The Marine manages to enter the starport and kills all the enemies. He saved humanity and waits quietly for his death. But then, the surviving humans find the source of the invasion: the hometown of the Marine. He goes to the town and eliminates the hellspawn, and looks for an entryway into hell. He has to close the portal to stop the invasion. After a challenging journey, he manages to face the gigantic demon and kills it.
