Legend Of Zelda, The - Link's Awakening, released in the year 1998, is a remake of the Legend of Zelda: The Link's Awakening for the Game Boy. The game was developed and published by Nintendo.
The new version of the game is remade with enhanced features such as a new dungeon, colorful graphics, opposed to the older version that was black and white. The Color Dungeon, available only on the Game Boy Color, was the most advanced and substantial difference from the real Link's Awakening game. This color dungeon in the game was an extra dungeon, which is playable by using a code from the library to transfer specific tombstones in the graveyard to open the new space.
The new area which is discovered introduces three mini-bosses, many new puzzles, a Giant Hardhat Beetle, and a new boss. To make it more visually pleasing, Link's Awakening DX also uses sprites that are colorized variants of the one in the original game of Link's Awakening.
