Mega Man Xtreme 2, released in the year 2001, is an action platformer video game that is a follow up of Mega Man Xtreme and a spin-off of the Mega Man X series. Capcom developed and published the game for the Game Boy Color. The game here occurs in the 22nd century, where the year is known as 21XX and is between the game Mega Man X3 and Mega Man X4. The game follows the adventures of Hunters named Mega Man X and Zero, who need to extinguish the activity of some Reploids which go Maverick, causing troubles to the world like their destructive behavior and exhibiting violence. 

Gameplay

The game player has many tasks by completing a set of side-scrolling levels by bypassing obstructions and defeating the bosses at the end-stage. Stages here are typically long and have several traps and enemy robots to battle. The players can collect DNA Souls and armor elements that give X new abilities, things that refill extra lives, health, and ammunition, including power-ups that increase the player's maximum health. Additionally, the player can earn their special weapon if they defeat the Maverick boss at the end-stage.
