It's a first-person shooter game released in 2010 by Activision. The game is set in the 1960s in the Cold war era and follows the CIA agent Alex Mason as he tries to get back his memories to locate a numbers station. This station is about to transmit programs to sleeper agents who are sure to use chemical weapons in the United States of America. There are three main playable characters Alex Mason and Jason Hudson, another CIA operative and Viktor Reznov, a Red Army soldier in only one mission. The multiplayer mode of the game features many objective-based games mode. Players receive a virtual currency known as COD points to buy arms and ammunition.
This game takes place between 1961 and 1968 during the Vietnam and Cold war era. It depicts the secret history of the CIA covert mission black operation that was carried behind the enemy lines. Single-player mission revolves around the agent trying to stop the sleeper agents from using chemical weapons around the states. The player controls Alex Mason and sometimes Jason Hudson. Fellow operatives also join Alex in his mission. There is a multiplayer mode with a different story; the Zombies story takes place over various periods. The story follows four soldiers Tank Dempsey, Takeo Masaki, Nikolai Belinski and Doctor Edward Richtofen. Dr Ludwig and Dr Richtofen created Group 935. They made a superweapon for Nazis and discovered an element t15 that leads to the creation of zombies. Richtofen captures three soldiers: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Takeo Masaki and he starts to conduct experiments on them with Element 115, which causes the soldiers to lose their memories, and then the game begins.
