Dragon Ball Z - Attack Of The Saiyans, released in the US in the year 2009, is a role-playing single-player video game based on the anime and manga series Dragon Ball. Monolith Soft developed the game, and Namco Bandai Games published it for the Nintendo DS. Additionally, it is one of the first games under the Dragon Ball franchise to be distributed by Namco Bandai in North America.
Gameplay
Here, the player can control six characters' role from the series, and it starts from the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai within the Saiyan story arc. The game presents in a traditional 2-D animation sprite, consisting of three modes to help navigate, the battle mode, the Dragon World map, and the area maps. In the battle mode, the game will take place at the screen with one party facing off with a boss or a monster. The world map will be ready and available from the beginning and enable the player's easy access to each area entirely through the game. In area maps, the player will navigate over various places such as towns on the top screen, forests, fields, and caves. Additionally, the touch screen displays all the available equipment that the player can use in the field, and these items can be found, given or bought from various treasure chests or spots.
