It is a strategic life simulation video game released in 2004 by Electronic Arts and is a sequel to the Sims. The game allows the players to create their own Sims, neighborhoods, families, and houses. Players have to manage their Sims and form relationships so that they can earn experience rewards. This game has open-ended gameplay with not a defined final goal. All Sims can live to 90 sim days that depend on how their ambitions are fulfilled. The Sims can age through six stages of life, just like its predecessor.

Gameplay

The players start the game by creating their character and then taking it to a dusty road that leads into a town. Suddenly a flash of light appears and diverges up into the sky. As the character gets distracted, the car hits something sharp, and the car starts smoking. There is a garage nearby, and Oscar, the mechanic, starts repairing the vehicle. The player is in a Strangetown, where the supernatural and the bizarre things happen, and even the people are strange. The player meets many of the town's crazy inhabitants, such as a convenience store clerk who claims that she can see the future or Bella, who sells her mansion because she can't take the ghost's abductions anymore. The game has an element of both the adventure game and the Sims-themed gameplay. In The Sims 2, there are personality traits and life's aspirations that the player has to satisfy. The player can fulfill them by completing the tasks. If the goal is to gain knowledge, the player must discover the other characters' secrets and towns'. There's a new addition of a sanity meter that checks the character's sanity. It fills up when the character completes the goal and empties when he fails. The saner the character, the easier it is to intimidate people or win friends. The Sims 2 for PSP comes with lots of great ideas. The addition of mini-games, perks, and secrets, the sanity meter, keeps things fresh and new.
