Joe and Mac is a 1991 video game launched for arcades by Data East. The game was later modified for the Super NES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Game Boy, Amiga, Zeebo, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The One surveyed the arcade edition of Caveman Ninja in 1991, calling it "A cutesy 'unsteady anxious' game which uses some neat comic touches to defeat the predicted gameplay," suggesting it as being "worth a try." Gameplay

The game stars a blue-haired Mac and the green-haired Joe, cavemen who fight through various ancient levels using weapons like boomerangs, bones, rocks, power, stone wheels, and clubs. The game's goal is to save a group of women captured by a rival clan of cavemen. The play highlights a health framework by which the player loses heath within a time frame, apart from boss fights. A dual-mode is available, and in specific variants, both characters can harm one another.
