Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 is the video game released for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) in the year 2002. It was also released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in the year 2011 and for the Wii U Virtual Console in the year 2014. Game Plot

Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Advance 3 is the remake of the classic hit Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island designed for GameBoy Advance. This game is part of the Super Mario Advance series. The storyline of the game, however, doesn't change. The story remains the same as baby Luigi has been kidnapped by Kamel. Yoshi and Baby Mario must rescue him. Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Advance 3 story takes place while Mario and Luigi are still babies called Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, respectively. The enemy kidnaps Baby Luigi and imprisons him at Bowser's Castle, in Yoshi Island. Baby Mario also has a map of the area that helps the player to reach Bowser's Castle. The player helps Mario to reunite him with his baby brother Luigi and defeat Kamek at the castle.

Gameplay

In terms of gameplay, graphics, and sound, it certainly has improved. It has 54 levels and six new Game Boy Advance-exclusive secret levels. These personal levels have their gimmick and are more significant than any other level in the game. After reaching the end of each world, the player will face the boss and fight it to clear the world and defeat Kamek.
In this platform game, the player controls Yoshi, a dinosaur, who is also carrying Baby Mario throughout the levels. The player can control the character with only two buttons for Yoshi to run and jump to reach the world's end. The player has to collect the items throughout the game and solve the puzzles. The game is one of the few games in the Super Mario franchise with a dinosaur, Yoshi, as the main character. Yoshi can flutter, jump and also swallow enemies that help him produce eggs.

Features

• New levels: Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Advance 3 featured new rooms in Salvo the Slime's Castle. The game added a middle ring in the Marching Milde's Fort, and the levels were remodeled. The new secret levels were also added to the game. To unlock this secret level, the player must score 100 points in all the levels of the world. There are exciting 54 levels and six new Game Boy Advance-exclusive secret levels.
  
  
• Battle Code:
  The battle code got changed in the game as GBA lacked X and Y buttons. The player has to hold select and then press L, L, B, A, and R as the new code. Mini battles huts can be re-entered end number of time, and battles can be fought as many times as the player wants
  
  
• Time-based health:
  In Super Mario World 2-Yoshi's island, the health of the character was based on the time limit. When the player touches an enemy, Baby Mario gets separated from him, who then goes inside the bubble and floats in the air. Then a timer appears on the screen, counting down in seconds until it reaches zero. The player must help Yoshi to recover Baby Mario in this given time, or else the enemies capture Baby Mario, and the player loses a life. The timer starts at ten to fifteen seconds at the beginning of each level and then increases to thirty seconds. The player has to collect stars to increase this timer.
