Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (E) ROM Download for GameCube
It is a tactical role-playing video game released in 2005 by Nintendo for the GameCube home console. It's the ninth title in the fire emblem game series. Gameplay revolves around characters positioned on a battlefield to defeat the opposite force. The story takes place on an imaginary continent of Tellius, populated by the humanoid Beorc and the shape-shifting Laguz. The game starts when the Beorc nation of Daein conquers the kingdom of Crimea, its neighbours. The mercenary Ike and his friends help Crimea to restore its heir, Princess Elincia, to the throne. The party moves across Tellius, forming allies with other countries to free Crimea from Daein's captivity. They also want to confront racial tensions and bitterness between the Beorc and the Laguz along their way.
Game Plot
At the beginning of the game, Greil allows his son, Ike, to fight in his group of mercenaries. Ike is on a mission near the Crimean border, he saves Elincia Ridell, Crimean princess, from a Daein patrol. Daein attacks the band of mercenaries, and they flee to the Laguz nation. The Black knight kills Greil in single combat. Ike and Elincia plan to work together and remove the forces of Daein from Crimea. Ike and his allies, throughout the game, overcome racial tensions between the Beorc and Laguz. They aim to ally against their true enemy king of Daein, Ashnard. Ike manages to establish co-alliance between the Beorc Empire of Begnion and the few lasting members of the Laguz clan. During their journey, they find out that Ashnard is infuriating the war to release the dark deity trapped inside the Medallion, with Daein's invasion as a diversion. In the final combat, Ike and his mercenaries group defeat Ashnard and Black Knight, spoiling their plan. Elincia is now the queen of Crimea, who works to make sure that Beorc and Laguz can live in peace.
Features
- Addition of New Elements
The shape-shifting Laguz adds a new element on the battlefield. They cannot attack in humanoid form, but they spontaneously turn into animal form and can create destruction before they turn back to human. They are a new type of combatant and also very interesting.
- Many Playable Characters
There are a total of 46 potentially playable characters, and they even interact with each other. This addition leads to a pretty customizable list, and also there are replays of the game to choose entirely different teams.
- Two Challenge Maps
Two challenge maps open up after the main gameplay for the player to try their luck on.
- Weapon Triangle Mechanic
This weapon mechanic system is like stone paper scissors. Three primary combat weapons are weak or strong in front of each other: axes are strong against lances, lances are strong against swords, and swords are strong against axes.
