Ghosts'n Goblins, released in the year 1985, is a side-scrolling platform type of arcade video game. Capcom developed the game, and Taito America published it for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game Ghosts'n Goblins comes under the first game in the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise and has also been ported to many other platforms. 

Gameplay

In Ghosts'n Goblin, the player takes control of a Knight named Sir Arthur, who needs to defeat demons, monsters, ogres, zombies, cyclopes, dragons, and other creatures save Princess Prin-Prin, who was kidnapped by the King of Demon World, Astroth. The player can collect additional armor, which will help in his task, bonuses, and new weapons along the way to rescue. The player loses a life when they get hit twice. When their life is lost, the player will start from halfway, where they stopped or have to restart level once again. Additionally, each life of the player can only last for a certain length of time. Lastly, to reach the final battle, after conquering the final boss, the player has to replay the whole game once again on a difficult level.
