It is also known as Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! The game is based on the animated movie Toy Story 2 and the second title of the first Toy Story video game. In 1999 it was released for Nintendo 64, Windows, Macintosh, and PlayStation. 

Game Plot

The game begins at Andy's house. Al Mcwhiggin steals Woody, our very own cowboy, from the yard sale. Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Hamm, Mr. Potato Head, and Slinky go out on a quest to save their friend. The game takes toys on an adventurous trip to Al's toy barn, his penthouse, and then finally the airport. It's a big game with over 15 levels, so there's plenty of play-time. In each stage, the players have many objectives; puzzles to solve, items to find, tokens to collect, enemies to fight, and a boss fight at the end of the level. After the players complete one objective, they have the option to move forward, fight the boss, and go to the next zone. Players have to pick 50 tokens in a level, and if they fail to do so, they must go back and replay levels. 

Gameplay

The players control Buzz Lightyear, who is on a quest to save his friend Woody from an evil prospector. The basic idea is to travel through different areas, complete specific tasks, and collect tokens. The game offers gigantic worlds to explore, many mini-tasks that keeps the gamers busy and entertained. Buzz Lightyear possesses specific abilities like the standard jump, run, swing across wires, shoot things to climb poles, and execute torso spins that frequently helps through the adventure. 

The character is packed with lots of cool stuff; the control is tight and spontaneous. The game has all the makings of a winning formula; Solid gameplay, challenging levels, and full controls.
