Designed by NDcube and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Wii, Mario Party 9 is a party video game and is the 9th part in the Mario Party series. Initially, this game was launched in Europe in 2012 and is the 1st game to be designed by NDcube. It was the last Mario game in the series to get released in standard definition. A total of 82 minigames are installed in Mario Party 9 which are divided into five categories: Boss Battle, One Vs Rivals, Free for all, Bowse Jr., and extra. A user can play in solo mode to unlock the final stage and two playable characters.

Gameplay

In Mario Party 9, the player needs to select and direct the character. The character you have chosen searches through the telescope where the character notices a vortex is swallowing the stars. Bowser and Bowser Jr. control this vortex on a spacecraft. The aim is to defeat both and save the Mini stars.

Mario Party 9 received moderate reviews, according to Metacritic. Famitsu, a Japanese video game magazine, gave it an aggregated score of 34 out of 40.
