Sonic Jam, released in the USA in August 1997, is a collection of the four primary Sonic the Hedgehog games such as Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and lastly, Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Sega published, and the Sonic Team developed the game for the Sega Saturn. 

Gameplay

Sonic Jam follows Sonic & Knuckles Lock-on technology, a unique feature that enables the player to join Sonic & Knuckles' elements into earlier games, with updated levels. It is an opportunity for the players to play as Tails in Sonic and Knuckles the Echidna, which is in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. In Sam Jam, there is a unique 3D environment called Sonic World, and here the players are able to freely move around as Sonic tries to socialize with several objects. The game has two modes: single-player and multiplayer, where the player can play according to the three difficulty forms; Normal, Easy, and Original.

The players here take control of Knuckles the Echidna and Sonic the Hedgehog, who are on their quest to protect Angel Island. Here, Knuckles fights with Robotnik's minion, the EggRobo, while Sonic strives to stop Doctor Robotnik from relaunching the Death Egg, his orbital weapon.
