It's a hack and slash styled dungeon crawl arcade game released in 1998 and is a sequel to the Gauntlet. The player assumes one of the four characters- Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie, or Archer. Apart from fighting the villains, the player has to collect treasures, play with magic, and many more. Each level ends with a boss fight. The plot revolves around Sumner, whose brother Garm releases the evil Skorne from the underworld. Skorne takes over the world and sends his evil goblins everywhere. Sumner has called the four heroes to stop Skorne from taking over the world. To do that, these heroes have to travel to the four kingdoms and free them from the clutches of Skornes's four guardians. After the guardians' destruction, their keys open a desecrated temple where the final battle between the heroes and Skorne takes place. After the defeat, Skornes goes back to the underworld, and the heroes have to find thirteen runestones that can open the underworld so that these four warriors can destroy Skorne once and for all.

• Interesting enemies
  There are many exciting enemies present in the game. The foremost is the goblins, but there are also golems. Golems are slow and can take many hits, so a player requires a particular item to kill them. Then there's Death, face-concealing, a robe-wearing enemy. He hides in chests, barrels, real trickster who chases the player until the player is drained out of a sufficient amount of health.
  
  
• In-house narrator
  The in-house narrator follows the heroes and lets them know when they should use turbo attacks. The narrator pronounces some critical elements of the game, like; use a key to open the chests and the doors. It lets the player know that he/she is about to die.
  
  
• Multiplayer mode
  The single-player game is captivating, but the multiplayer mode is like the icing on the top of the cake. Players can take down the goblins and golems along with three of their friends, which is quite fun. It's fantastic to form a strategy and conquer the enemies as a group.
